Use Split to randomly divide contacts into multiple paths so you can test, compare, and optimize different workflow strategies.
Effective marketing and sales automation often requires experimentation. Different messages, offers, follow-up sequences, and routing strategies can produce very different results even when targeting similar audiences.
BizStackPro's Split workflow action randomly distributes contacts across multiple workflow paths, allowing businesses to compare approaches, conduct A/B testing, and optimize automation performance using real-world data.
Without structured testing, businesses may rely on assumptions instead of measurable results, making it difficult to improve conversion rates, optimize communication strategies, or identify the most effective workflows.
This guide explains how the Split workflow action works, how contacts are distributed across workflow paths, and how to build more data-driven automation systems inside BizStackPro.
Before creating workflow splits, it helps to understand how automation paths, A/B testing, lead routing, workflow statistics, conversion tracking, and optimization strategies work together inside BizStackPro.
The Split action divides contacts into multiple paths using a random distribution. Each path can run different actions, making it perfect for A/B testing messages, routing leads, or comparing automation approaches.
Key characteristics: Split is percentage-based, supports up to 5 paths, and locks each contact into a single path permanently.
Tip: The total percentage across all paths must equal 100%. If the total is higher or lower, BizStackPro won’t allow you to save the action.
BizStackPro provides statistics so you can track how contacts distribute across each path.
You can also view path distribution directly on the workflow canvas when the stats view is enabled.
BizStackPro makes A/B testing and workflow optimization simple—without needing extra software.

You can add up to five paths in a single Split action. Each path can have its own percentage and workflow actions.
The Split action uses random distribution only. If you need to split contacts based on conditions or criteria, use the If/Else action instead.
Yes. You can update the Split configuration, but changes only apply to contacts who enter the workflow after the update.
No. Once a contact is assigned to a path, they will always follow that same path even if they re-enter the workflow.
Use Split actions to compare strategies, improve performance, and build repeatable automation systems that convert better over time.
Better testing. Better outcomes.
