Find failed posts fast, read the platform error message, and apply the right fix—reconnect, adjust, and retry.
Scheduled social media posts can fail unexpectedly when permissions change, account tokens expire, media formats are unsupported, or platforms reject content during the publishing process.
The BizStackPro Social Planner includes failed post error reporting so businesses can view platform-specific error messages and troubleshoot publishing problems directly from the scheduling dashboard.
Without understanding the reason behind failed posts, businesses may continue missing scheduled content, lose consistency across platforms, and waste time troubleshooting the wrong issue.
This guide explains how to locate failed post errors, understand common Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Google Business Profile error codes, and apply the correct fixes inside BizStackPro.
Before troubleshooting failed social posts, it helps to understand how account tokens, permissions, media requirements, and platform-specific publishing rules work together inside the BizStackPro Social Planner.
Posts can fail for a handful of common reasons—expired social account tokens, missing permissions, content/policy issues, invalid links or media, or temporary platform outages. Instead of guessing, Social Planner displays a platform error message on each failed post so you can quickly identify the cause and fix it.
Below you’ll learn where to view error messages and how to interpret the most common codes for Facebook, Google Business Profile, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
Good to know: Many failures are solved by either reconnecting the social account (refreshing the token) or fixing permissions (using an admin/posting-enabled profile).
Quick triage: If the message mentions OAuth/token → reconnect. If it mentions permissions → reconnect with an admin/posting-enabled user. If it mentions duplicate/policy → edit content and retry later.
Most failures are fast fixes: reconnect tokens, confirm permissions, adjust content, and retry—so your content keeps flowing.

Posts can fail due to expired tokens, missing permissions, invalid links or media, policy violations, or temporary platform errors. Open the failed post to see the platform error message and recommended fix.
Go to Marketing > Social Planner, filter for Failed posts, click a failed post, and read the error message in the post details.
A token is an authorization key that allows posting and data retrieval on your behalf. Platforms expire tokens periodically or after security events (like a password change). Reconnect the account to refresh it.
These typically indicate an expired/invalid token. Reconnect Facebook in Social Planner and confirm the connected user has posting access.
Hard refresh your browser, confirm your login session is active, and retry after a few minutes. Reconnect the account if it continues.
Reconnect using a profile that has admin/posting permissions for that page/group/profile/location, then retry the post.
When you know what the error means, the fix is usually simple: reconnect, adjust, and retry—so your content stays consistent across every channel.
Fewer failures. Faster fixes.
