The Status and History tabs help you see where contacts are inside a workflow, what action ran last, and what’s happening next—so you can troubleshoot fast and optimize with confidence.
Workflow troubleshooting becomes difficult when contacts miss messages, automation behaves unexpectedly, or businesses cannot quickly determine where someone is inside a workflow.
BizStackPro Workflow Status and History tools provide visibility into contact movement, workflow progress, execution timing, and automation behavior so issues can be diagnosed faster.
Without visibility into workflow activity, businesses may spend extra time troubleshooting, overlook enrollment issues, struggle to identify failures, or make workflow changes without understanding the underlying problem.
This guide explains how Workflow Status works, how Workflow History provides enrollment visibility, and how to troubleshoot automation systems more effectively inside BizStackPro.
Before troubleshooting workflow issues, it helps to understand how workflow status tracking, enrollment history, execution history, contact progress, and automation visibility tools work together inside BizStackPro.
When you’re building or debugging workflows, you need answers to a few key questions: Is the contact enrolled? Which step are they on? Did an action fail? The Workflow Status and History views give you those answers in seconds.
Quick guide: Use Status for “what’s happening right now.” Use History for “how they got here.”
The Status tab shows real-time and recent workflow activity for contacts enrolled in that workflow. It’s the fastest place to see the current (or last) action for each contact.
Best use: If someone says “I didn’t get the text/email,” open Status, find the contact, and check what action they’re on (or what action failed).
Use filters to narrow the list by contact, action, or status so you can focus on the specific group you’re troubleshooting (for example: contacts stuck on a wait, or actions that failed).
The History view (often referenced as Enrollment History) focuses on how contacts entered the workflow and their progress through it—especially helpful for understanding enrollments and repeated entries.
Best use: If contacts aren’t enrolling (or they’re enrolling multiple times), check the History tab to confirm entry patterns and timing.
To see the entire journey for one person, use the options inside Status/History (like Execution History and Contact History). This helps you:
Execution History is your step-by-step view. It displays the actions that ran for a contact inside the workflow, and may also include actions from previous enrollments depending on how you open it.
Pro move: When a contact looks “stuck,” open Execution History, find the last completed step, then look for the next scheduled action or the failure reason.
Use Status for real-time visibility and History for enrollment context—so you can troubleshoot quickly and build better automations.
Opens in a new tab.
You can see the current or last action under the Action column in the Workflow Status tab.
Workflow Status focuses on real-time and recent execution information. Enrollment History focuses on how contacts entered and their overall enrollment progress.
Yes. Both views provide access to Execution History and Contact History so you can review the full journey.
Execution History shows the actions that ran for a specific contact within the workflow, and can include previous enrollments depending on the view.
BizStackPro gives you visibility into every workflow step—so you can diagnose issues faster, improve performance, and scale your automations safely.
Better visibility. Better results.
