Troubleshooting Instant Redirect Pages

Fix broken redirects, incorrect URL paths, DNS delays, domain mapping issues, and REGEX redirect problems in BizStackPro funnels and websites.

Overview

Instant Redirect Pages provide a fast way to send visitors to Zoom links, affiliate URLs, funnel steps, external sites, and more. If your redirect isn’t behaving as expected, use the checks below to diagnose and fix the most common issues.

Quick path: Go to Settings → URL Redirects, confirm the Domain, the Redirect Path, and the Target URL are all correct.

1) Redirect not working after setup

Check these items first:

  • Confirm the correct Target URL is entered in Settings → URL Redirects → Add Redirect.
  • Verify the redirect path (for example, /zoom) matches the path you are testing.
  • Test with the full URL like yourdomain.com/zoom (replace with your path).

Most common cause: a typo or mismatch between the redirect path and the URL you’re visiting.

2) Redirect goes to the wrong URL

  • Edit the redirect and confirm the target URL has no extra characters or trailing spaces.
  • Make sure you selected the correct domain when creating the redirect rule.
  • If you recently changed the target URL, save and retest in an incognito/private window.

3) Redirect works intermittently

Intermittent redirects usually happen because of:

  • Caching: clear browser cache or test in an incognito/private window.
  • DNS propagation: custom domains may take time to update globally after DNS changes.
  • Old bookmarks or saved links pointing to an outdated path.

Tip: If you changed DNS records recently, allow time for propagation and retest from a different network/device.

4) Make redirects work across devices & browsers

  • Test on multiple devices (mobile, desktop, tablet).
  • Test in Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge.
  • Confirm the destination page (funnel step or website page) is published and responsive.
  • Temporarily disable aggressive ad blockers or extensions while testing.

5) Redirect leads to a 404 page

  • Ensure the redirect path exists and matches the path you’re testing.
  • Verify the destination URL is valid and the page is not deleted or unpublished.
  • If using a subdomain, confirm it is active, connected, and assigned correctly.
  • If you recently changed routing, re-save domain and default page settings and retest.

6) Multiple redirects to the same funnel

Yes — you can create multiple paths, for example:

  • /zoom → Zoom meeting URL
  • /offers → Affiliate page or offer hub
  • /replay → Webinar replay page

7) Redirect not working on a custom domain

  • Go to Settings → Domains and confirm the domain shows as Active.
  • Verify DNS records (A/CNAME) at your registrar point to BizStackPro correctly.
  • Confirm the redirect rule was created under the correct domain in Settings → URL Redirects.

8) Zoom redirect not working

  • Copy the full Zoom link carefully (no extra spaces or line breaks).
  • Confirm the redirect path doesn’t conflict with another page path.
  • Open the Zoom URL directly to verify it’s still valid and not expired.

9) REGEX redirect not working

  • Double-check REGEX syntax for typos or missing characters.
  • Make sure the domain is configured correctly and the REGEX pattern matches your paths.
  • Confirm the rule applies to the intended subset (or all paths) based on your configuration.

Pro tip: Test your pattern against a few example URLs before saving the rule.

10) Destination page won’t load

Redirecting to an unpublished or deleted page often leads to loading failures.

  • Ensure the funnel step or website page is published and active.
  • Confirm the page is linked to the active domain and not set to Draft.
  • Update the redirect to a known working page and test again.

11) Preserving SEO value

For SEO, choose the correct redirect type:

  • Use a 301 Permanent Redirect to preserve SEO value and link equity.
  • Confirm your redirect rule is set to 301 (not 302).

12) Redirect multiple URLs to one destination

Yes — use a REGEX rule or an option that redirects all paths (depending on your setup).

  • Configure a REGEX or “redirect all paths” style rule.
  • Map legacy URLs or alternate paths to a single primary destination page.

13) Redirects break after a domain migration

  • DNS settings may not be fully propagated to the new host.
  • Redirect rules may still reference old domain paths or old destinations.

Fix: Verify the new domain is Active in BizStackPro, then review each rule in Settings → URL Redirects and update targets to the new domain.

14) Delete a redirect

  1. Go to Settings → URL Redirects.
  2. Find the redirect you want to remove.
  3. Click the trash/delete icon next to the redirect.

15) Search bar isn’t filtering redirects

  • Try shorter or more specific search terms.
  • Search by domain, path, or a unique part of the target URL.
  • Clear filters/sorting options that might hide results.

16) Redirect to an external website

Yes — choose Redirect to another URL and paste the external site’s full URL (including https://).

  1. Go to Settings → URL Redirects.
  2. Select Redirect to another URL as the redirect type.
  3. Paste the full external link (including https://).
  4. Save and test the redirect in a new browser tab.

Keep your redirects running smoothly

Fast, reliable redirects help users reach the right destination without friction—perfect for events, offers, funnels, and external integrations.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is my redirect page not working after setting it up?

Confirm the Target URL is correct, the redirect path matches your intended path (for example /zoom), and test using the full URL in an incognito/private window.

Why is my redirect going to the wrong URL?

Edit the redirect rule and check for typos, extra characters, or trailing spaces in the destination URL. Also confirm the redirect was created under the correct domain.

Why does my redirect work intermittently?

Caching or DNS propagation delays are the usual cause. Clear cache, test in an incognito window, and allow time for DNS changes to propagate after updates.

Why does my redirect lead to a 404 error?

A 404 typically means the path is incorrect or the destination page is unpublished, deleted, or invalid. Confirm the path exists and the target page is live.

How do I preserve SEO value with redirects?

Use a 301 Permanent Redirect when you want to preserve SEO value. Confirm the rule is set to 301 and not 302.

Clean redirects. Better user experience.

When redirects are configured correctly, visitors land exactly where you want them—without broken links, 404s, or confusing loops. Pair redirects with a solid domain setup and the right redirect type (301 vs 302) to keep everything stable.
