Learn how to attach MMS URLs using Custom Values, stay within carrier size limits, and fix broken or invalid MMS attachments in BizStackPro workflows.
MMS workflows can fail unexpectedly when attachment links are invalid, files are too large for carriers, or unsupported media formats are used inside automated messages.
BizStackPro allows Custom Values to dynamically insert MMS attachment URLs into SMS and MMS workflow actions so the same media can be reused across campaigns and automations.
Without proper file formatting and carrier-compatible media settings, MMS messages may deliver without attachments, fail completely, or display broken media links for recipients.
This guide explains how to configure MMS attachment Custom Values, validate direct media URLs, stay within carrier size limits, and troubleshoot broken MMS workflow attachments inside BizStackPro.
Before troubleshooting MMS delivery failures, it helps to understand how Custom Values, direct media URLs, carrier attachment limits, and supported file formats work together inside BizStackPro workflows.
Custom Values let you insert a media URL dynamically into a Send SMS/MMS action so the same workflow can reuse the same attachment across campaigns or locations.
If the attachment fails, it’s usually due to one of these issues: invalid URL formatting (spaces/typos), unsupported file type, or carrier MMS size limits.
Quick tip: Always test the URL by pasting it directly in a browser first. If it doesn’t load instantly, it won’t work reliably as an MMS attachment.

Common mistake: Using a page URL instead of a direct media file URL. For best results, the URL should point directly to the image file (for example, ending in .jpg, .png, or .gif).
Carriers may block MMS attachments that exceed their maximum allowed size. If your workflow “sends” but the recipient sees a broken attachment (or nothing at all), reduce the file size and try again.
Best practice: Target under 0.6 MB to stay compatible with the strictest limits.
For image-based MMS, use:
Tip: If you’re unsure what format your file is, check the file extension and confirm it downloads and opens normally on mobile.
If it still fails: Try a smaller test image under 200 KB. If that delivers, the issue is almost certainly file size or format on your original asset.
Keep your attachments small, use supported formats, and validate your Custom Value URL before launching a workflow.
Opens in a new tab.
Create a Custom Value that contains the full media URL, then insert that Custom Value into the MMS attachment field inside the workflow’s Send SMS/MMS action.
Approximate limits: AT&T 0.6 MB, Sprint 1.4 MB, T-Mobile 1.5 MB, Verizon 0.675 MB. If you exceed the limit, delivery may fail or the attachment may be stripped.
For images, use JPEG, PNG, or GIF for the best compatibility.
Check for URL spaces/typos, confirm the link is a direct media file URL, verify file size is under carrier limits, and re-upload the asset if it may be corrupted.
Check the file size before using it in a workflow. If needed, compress or resize the image and update the Custom Value with the new URL.
When your Custom Value points to a valid file URL (and that file is within carrier limits), MMS sends are far more consistent across AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, and other networks.
Fewer failures. Cleaner workflows.
