Terms & Conditions Filter in Workflows

Use the Terms & Conditions (T&C) Filter in BizStackPro workflows to control automation paths based on consent and keep your process compliance-friendly.

Respecting Consent Choices Instead of Treating Every Contact the Same

Customer communication becomes harder to manage when businesses cannot separate contacts who agreed to terms from those who did not interact, declined consent, or require different follow-up handling.

BizStackPro workflow filters allow businesses to segment contacts based on Terms & Conditions acceptance so automation can respond differently depending on consent status.

Without consent-based automation controls, businesses may create compliance concerns, send communication to the wrong audiences, reduce segmentation quality, or build workflows that become difficult to maintain.

This guide explains how Terms & Conditions filters work, when they can be used, and how to build cleaner consent-aware automation systems inside BizStackPro.

Before building consent-based automation paths, it helps to understand how workflow triggers, submission filters, segmentation logic, forms, surveys, and contact consent tracking work together inside BizStackPro.

What Is the T&C Filter?

The Terms & Conditions (T&C) Filter is a trigger-level filter that lets you segment contacts based on whether they accepted a Terms & Conditions checkbox in a form, survey, or quiz. This helps you route contacts into different automation paths depending on consent.

Good to know: The filter is most useful when your T&C checkbox is optional or when you’re introducing consent tracking into an existing process and want different actions for “Agreed” vs. “Not Agreed.”

When You Can Use It

The T&C Filter can only be used on workflows triggered by submissions that include a Terms & Conditions checkbox:

  • Form Submitted
  • Survey Submitted
  • Quiz Submitted

Important: If the submission source does not include a T&C checkbox, the filter won’t have anything to evaluate.

How to Use the T&C Filter

  1. Create or open a workflow with a supported trigger (Form, Survey, or Quiz submission).
  2. In the trigger settings, click Add Filters.
  3. Select T&C Filter.
  4. Choose the consent group you want to enroll:
    • Agreed (accepted the checkbox)
    • Not Agreed (did not accept or did not interact)
  5. Save and run a couple test submissions to confirm contacts enroll as expected.

Tip: If you need different actions for both groups, it’s often cleaner to use separate workflows (one filtered to Agreed, one filtered to Not Agreed) rather than trying to force everything into one path.

Special Considerations

  • If agreement is mandatory, everyone will be marked as Agreed—so the filter usually isn’t needed.
  • “Not Agreed” can include users who never interacted with the checkbox (depending on how the submission is configured).
  • Use “Not Agreed” paths to limit access, suppress marketing, or route to a compliance follow-up step.

Common Use Cases

  • Send onboarding only to contacts who accepted your terms
  • Exclude non-consenting contacts from promotions
  • Restrict access to regulated offers, services, or premium resources
  • Route “Not Agreed” contacts to an educational message or re-consent flow

Build automations that respect consent

Use trigger filters like T&C to keep enrollments clean, segment contacts correctly, and reduce compliance headaches later.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the purpose of the T&C Filter?

It segments contacts based on whether they accepted your Terms & Conditions, so you can run different automation paths based on consent.

Which workflows support the T&C Filter?

Only workflows triggered by forms, surveys, or quizzes that include a T&C checkbox.

Is the T&C Filter useful if agreement is mandatory?

Usually not. If everyone must agree, then everyone is “Agreed” and the filter doesn’t help with segmentation.

How are users categorized if they do not agree?

They’re categorized as Not Agreed, which you can use to exclude them or route them to a different workflow path.

Segment smarter, automate cleaner

BizStackPro workflows give you flexible triggers and filters so your automations respond to the right contacts at the right time—without messy enrollments.
