Enable Social Planner email alerts for expiring or expired tokens so your accounts stay connected and scheduled posts don’t fail unexpectedly.
Social media integrations can suddenly stop working when platform authorization tokens expire, causing scheduled posts to fail without obvious warning.
The BizStackPro Social Planner uses platform authorization tokens to maintain access to connected Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Google Business, and other social accounts.
Expired tokens, security changes, password resets, or missing renewal reminders can disconnect accounts and interrupt scheduled publishing workflows across multiple platforms.
This guide explains how to configure pre-expiry notifications, manage token expiration alerts, customize reminder settings, and reconnect expired social accounts inside BizStackPro.
Before troubleshooting disconnected social accounts, it helps to understand how authorization tokens, expiration cycles, and notification settings function inside the BizStackPro Social Planner.
Social Planner connects to platforms like Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Google Business Profile using an authorization token. Tokens can expire on a timed cycle or become invalid after security-related changes (like password updates). If a token expires, the account can disconnect and scheduled posts may fail until you reconnect and reauthorize.
Examples: Facebook Page tokens often follow a ~90-day refresh cycle and LinkedIn tokens can follow a ~60-day cycle. Token behavior can vary by platform and settings.
To stay ahead of disruptions, enable email notifications for token pre-expiry and expiry events. These alerts help you refresh tokens before posting breaks.
You can enable notifications for several account and workflow events:
Click the gear icon to open Social Planner Settings, then select Manage Social Accounts.
In Social Planner Settings, open the Notifications tab to view all available notification options.
Click the pencil icon next to the notification you want to configure. In the edit window you can:
Important: Updates to reminder timing typically apply to the next expiration cycle after you save the change.
Enable pre-expiry alerts so you can refresh tokens before your scheduled content hits an error.
Opens in a new tab.
Go to Emails > Templates, click New, choose Email Marketing Template, then open System Template and select the Social Planner notification template. Edit and save.
Example: for a Facebook Page token with a 90-day limit, pre-expiry can trigger around day 80—if that reminder is enabled.
The account may disconnect from Social Planner and scheduled posts can fail until you reconnect and authorize again.
You’ll receive email notifications (if enabled) and may also see in-app alerts in Social Planner settings.
Open Social Planner settings, select the disconnected account, and reconnect by reauthorizing the integration.
Yes. Edit the notification settings to adjust reminder frequency and recipients.
Typically no—updated reminder timing applies on the next expiration cycle after you save changes.
Token expiry is normal on many platforms. Email notifications help you refresh access in time so posts keep publishing on schedule.
Stay connected. Avoid failed posts.
