Control which child apps appear in your Client Portal, choose the default landing page, and manage notification emails so clients only see—and receive—what matters.
Client portals can quickly become overwhelming when users see too many tools, notifications, or features that are not relevant to their specific experience.
BizStackPro App Permissions allow businesses to activate or deactivate child apps, choose a default landing page, and manage email notification behavior inside the Client Portal.
Leaving unnecessary apps enabled or sending too many notifications can create cluttered portal experiences, increase confusion, and reduce overall engagement with the tools clients actually need.
This guide explains how to manage child app visibility, configure default portal pages, control email notification preferences, and customize portal-related email branding inside BizStackPro.
Before adjusting portal visibility and notifications, it helps to understand how App Permissions and Email Settings work together inside the BizStackPro Client Portal.
App Permissions in the Client Portal let you decide which child apps clients can see and use. You can toggle apps on/off, set a default page for the portal experience, and control email notifications (including customizing the email content and branding).
Important: Disabling an app typically hides it from the portal UI, but it does not delete underlying data. You can re-enable the app later without losing content.
You’ll see a list of available apps (active and inactive) that can be displayed in the client portal.
Use the toggle beside each child app to control portal visibility.
Heads up: If you disable an app by mistake, just toggle it back on. The feature reappears for portal users.
Choose the first page clients see after logging in (great for directing attention to your most-used tool).
You can change the default page anytime as your portal experience evolves.
Some child apps can send portal-related emails (for example, areas like Communities or Certificates). You can toggle these notifications on or off to prevent inbox overload.
Note: Turning off notifications changes which emails are sent—it does not change access to the child apps themselves.
Options may vary by location and by which child apps are available in that location.
If a child app sends emails, you can usually customize the message layout and branding using the Email Builder.
Example: If clients complain about “too many emails,” disable notifications for low-priority apps and keep only the ones tied to action steps (courses, community updates, etc.).
Enable only the child apps your clients need, set a clear default page, and control notifications so the experience feels intentional—not overwhelming.

Go back to App Permissions and toggle the app back on. The feature will reappear for portal users.
The app is hidden and no longer accessible in the portal interface.
No. Disabling hides the app from view but does not delete or modify stored data.
No. Turning off notifications only affects which emails are sent—not app access.
Yes. You can customize notification preferences by location and by child app availability.
App Permissions and Email Settings help you reduce noise, improve navigation, and keep portal communication aligned with your brand—without removing or losing underlying data.
Cleaner portal. Better engagement.
