Instagram Direct Messages (DMs) are a powerful way to connect with leads and existing contacts. By integrating your Instagram account with BizStackPro, you can manage Instagram DMs alongside other channels in the Conversations inbox and trigger workflows when contacts reply via Instagram.
This guide covers connecting Facebook + Instagram, enabling messaging permissions, using DMs in Conversations, and automating follow-ups using Instagram DM as a reply channel.
Before you start: Your Instagram account should be a Business or Creator account and connected to a Facebook Page.
To use Instagram DMs in BizStackPro, your Instagram Business/Creator account must be linked to a Facebook Page.
Tip: If messaging features don’t appear later, it’s usually because the Page connection or permissions weren’t fully granted during setup.
When disconnected, the icons typically appear grayed out. Once connected, they appear active/colored.
After the integrations are active, Instagram Direct Messages can appear as a channel inside the Conversations inbox.
Good to know: Your DMs still remain in the Instagram app—BizStackPro simply gives you another place to view/respond.
You can automate actions when contacts message you on Instagram by using a workflow trigger that detects replies.
Example: If someone DMs “pricing,” apply a tag like ig-pricing and send an automated reply with next steps.
Instagram controls whether connected tools can access your messages. Confirm your settings allow message access for connected tools.
If this is off: You’ll usually only see/manage DMs inside Instagram, and BizStackPro won’t receive them.

Ensure your Instagram account is connected to a Facebook Page and that messaging permissions are enabled in your Facebook/Instagram settings. Then go to Settings → Integrations in BizStackPro and reconnect Facebook and Instagram.
Yes. Go to Settings → Integrations and disconnect Instagram to stop DM syncing.
Yes. Use a workflow trigger like Customer Replied with the reply channel set to Instagram DM to automate replies and actions.
Instagram DM features can be limited by Instagram policies and your account’s messaging settings. Make sure your account is enabled for messaging across connected apps.
Yes. Your DMs remain visible in Instagram; BizStackPro just provides another place to view and respond via Conversations.
