How to Utilize Lead Values in Pipelines and Triggers

Assign and automatically increase lead values in BizStackPro pipelines using workflows, tags, and appointment-based triggers—so you can track opportunity value as leads progress.

Tracking Lead Quality Instead of Treating Every Opportunity the Same

Not every lead has the same revenue potential, which can make it difficult for sales teams to prioritize follow-up efforts and measure the true value of pipeline activity.

Lead Values inside BizStackPro pipelines allow businesses to assign financial estimates to opportunities and automatically increase those values as contacts take higher-intent actions.

Without structured lead value tracking, pipelines can become harder to prioritize, revenue forecasting may become unreliable, and important opportunities may receive the same attention as low-value leads.

This guide explains how to automate lead values using workflows, tags, appointments, and opportunity updates so pipeline stages reflect both engagement and estimated revenue potential inside BizStackPro.

Before automating opportunity values, it helps to understand how workflows, Create or Update Opportunity actions, appointment triggers, and pipeline stages work together inside BizStackPro.

Overview

Using lead values in your pipelines helps you understand the financial impact of each opportunity as it moves from a cold lead to a hot prospect. In BizStackPro, you can use Workflows to automatically assign and update lead values based on actions like tags and appointment bookings.

In this example, you’ll learn how to:

  • Assign a $1,000 lead value when a contact is imported with a specific tag.
  • Increase that lead’s value to $2,500 when a confirmed appointment is booked on a specific calendar.

Tip: These numbers, tags, pipelines, and stages are examples. Customize everything to match your offer value, close rates, and sales process.

Step 1: Create Your First Workflow

Start by setting up a workflow that assigns an initial lead value when a specific tag is added to a contact.

  • Go to Automation → Workflows.
  • Click Create New Workflow.
  • Choose Start From Scratch (or open an existing workflow to edit).

Step 2: Add the Trigger (Tag-Based Lead Value)

In this example, when a contact receives the tag Import, the workflow will create or update an opportunity with a value of $1,000 in the “Lead” stage of a sample pipeline (e.g., “Demo Pipeline”).

  • In the workflow builder, click Add Trigger.
  • Select a trigger for Contact Tag (Tag Added).
  • Select the tag you want to use (example: Import).

What this does: Any time the “Import” tag is added to a contact, BizStackPro runs the workflow automatically.

Step 3: Add the Action — Create or Update Opportunity

Next, set the pipeline, stage, and initial lead value using an opportunity action.

  • Click + Add Action inside the workflow.
  • Select Create or Update Opportunity.
  • Choose your Pipeline (example: “Demo Pipeline”).
  • Choose the Stage (example: “Lead”).
  • Set the Lead Value to $1,000.00.
  • Configure any other fields as needed.

When you’re finished, switch the workflow from Draft to Publish so it runs automatically.

Note: You can add more actions here (tags, assignments, internal notifications) if you want additional automation to run at the same time.

Step 4: Add the “Import” Tag to Contacts

Apply the tag to contacts that should receive the initial lead value.

Common ways to add the Import tag:

  • Manually add the tag on an individual contact’s profile.
  • Use a Bulk Action to tag multiple existing contacts at once.
  • Apply the tag automatically during a list import.

Once the tag is applied, the workflow runs and assigns the configured lead value in your pipeline.

Step 5: View the Lead in Your Pipeline

To confirm your automation is working:

  • Navigate to Opportunities.
  • Open the pipeline you selected (example: “Demo Pipeline”).
  • Locate the contact that received the Import tag.

You should see their opportunity in the Lead stage with a value of $1,000. Moving the opportunity between stages won’t change the value unless a workflow action (or manual edit) updates it.

Step 6: Create a Second Workflow to Increase Lead Value

Next, build a second workflow that increases lead value when an appointment is booked and confirmed on a specific calendar. In this example, the value increases from $1,000 to $2,500 and moves to a “Booked Call” stage.

  • Create another workflow in Automation → Workflows.
  • Add a trigger based on Appointment Status = Confirmed.
  • Select the specific Calendar you want to track (example: your sales/demo calendar).

Add the Action — Update Opportunity & Value

  • Click + Add Action.
  • Select Create or Update Opportunity.
  • Choose the same Pipeline used in the first workflow.
  • Set the Stage to something like Booked Call.
  • Set the Lead Value to $2,500.00.
  • Save changes and set the workflow to Publish.

Step 7: Book an Appointment to Advance Lead Value

To test the automation end-to-end:

  • Book an appointment for the contact using the calendar connected to your workflow.
  • The contact can book it themselves, or you can book it manually.
  • Ensure the appointment status becomes Confirmed.

When the appointment is confirmed, the workflow should:

  • Move the opportunity to the configured stage (example: “Booked Call”).
  • Increase the lead value (example: from $1,000 to $2,500).

Manual override: You can always open an opportunity in the pipeline and edit the lead value directly if needed.

Why Use Lead Values in Pipelines?

  • Quickly see the financial potential of each lead.
  • Prioritize follow-up based on opportunity value.
  • Measure the impact of campaigns and appointments on revenue.
  • Automate updates so values change without manual work.

Prioritize the opportunities that matter most

Lead values help your team focus time and follow-up on high-impact deals—while workflows keep values updated automatically.
