How To Use Time Delay in the Funnel and Website Builder

Overview

Time delay is useful when you want an element to appear only after a visitor has spent a few seconds on the page. In BizStackPro, this is typically done by hiding an element first, then using a Minute Timer (a countdown timer) to trigger Expire Actions that reveal (or hide) selected elements.

Step 1: Hide the Element You Want to Reveal Later

First, hide the element (button/section/popup) that you want to display after the delay.

1. Select the element you want to delay.
2. Open the Advanced tab in the right-side settings panel.
3. Under Visibility, uncheck Desktop and/or Mobile (depending on where you want it hidden).

Step 2: Add a Minute Timer (Countdown) to Create the Delay

The countdown timer functions as your delay mechanism. You can show it (a visible timer) or hide it (a background trigger).

1. Add a timer element from your elements panel (Countdown / Timer).
2. Select Minute Timer (if available in your builder options).
3. Set the delay duration in the timer settings (minutes/seconds as needed).

When the timer reaches zero, the elements you selected will be shown/hidden/toggled based on your configured action.

Step 3: Hide the Timer (Optional)

If you don’t want visitors to see the timer, you can hide the timer element while keeping its Expire Actions working.

1. Select the Minute Timer element.
2. Go to the Advanced tab.
3. Under Visibility, uncheck Desktop and Mobile.
4. Save.

Best Practices

• Preview before publishing: confirm the element appears exactly when expected.
• Keep delays reasonable: short delays reduce frustration and keep visitors moving.
• Use clear context: if a CTA appears later, make sure the page content builds toward it.
• Test on mobile: visibility and timing can feel different on smaller screens.
