How to Use the Social Planner to Post Reels and Stories to Facebook

Create, schedule, and manage Facebook Reels and Stories from one place—so your posting stays consistent, engaging, and on-brand.

Keeping Facebook Reels and Stories Consistent Without Posting Everything Manually

Publishing Facebook Reels and Stories consistently can become difficult when businesses rely on manual posting from mobile devices every day.

The BizStackPro Social Planner allows Facebook Pages to schedule Reels and Stories ahead of time using centralized publishing tools, media uploads, recurring workflows, and calendar-based scheduling.

Incorrect media formatting, disconnected Facebook Pages, or unsupported posting settings can interrupt publishing workflows and prevent content from displaying correctly across Facebook placements.

This guide explains how to schedule Facebook Reels and Stories, manage media requirements, use follow-up comments strategically, and organize Facebook short-form content workflows inside BizStackPro.

Before scheduling Facebook Reels and Stories through Social Planner, it helps to understand how Page permissions, media requirements, and publishing settings work together inside BizStackPro.

Overview

BizStackPro’s Social Planner lets you schedule Facebook content ahead of time so you’re not posting manually from the Facebook app. You can plan campaigns, upload media, and publish Reels and Stories to your connected Facebook Pages on a consistent schedule.

Below you’ll learn how to schedule Reels and Stories, follow content requirements, use follow-up comments for links, and apply best practices.

Note: Reels and Stories scheduling is for Facebook Pages. If you post to groups, it may publish as a regular feed post (when supported).

How to Schedule Facebook Reels

Step 1 — Connect your Facebook Page

  1. Go to Marketing in your BizStackPro dashboard.
  2. Select Social Planner.
  3. Open Account at the top and confirm your Facebook Page is connected. If not, click the Facebook icon and follow the prompts.

Step 2 — Create the Reel post

  1. Click New PostCreate New Post.
  2. Select your Facebook Page as the destination.
  3. Choose Reel as the content type.
  4. Write your caption.
  5. Upload your Reel using the video icon.

Step 3 — Add a follow-up comment (recommended)

For better reach, avoid placing external links in the Reel caption. Instead, put your important link (website, funnel, offer) in a follow-up comment.

Step 4 — Apply optional settings

  • Add a watermark for branding (optional).
  • Select a category when available (optional).
  • Apply tags when supported (optional).

Step 5 — Schedule and confirm

  1. Select the date and time.
  2. Click Schedule Post.
  3. Check the Social Planner calendar (and your Page’s scheduled posts) to confirm it’s set.

Tip: If you’re sending traffic somewhere, use the Reel caption to drive engagement, then drop the link in your follow-up comment to keep your post clean and focused.

Content Requirements for Facebook Stories

To ensure your Stories upload and display correctly, follow these guidelines:

  • Images: JPEG, PNG, or GIF (max 4MB).
  • Videos: Standard formats supported (max 1GB), 3–90 seconds, minimum resolution 540 × 960.

Also note: Stories support one image or one video per Story. Thumbnails and OG meta tags are not supported for Story posts.

Benefits of Scheduling Reels and Stories

  • Increased reach: Consistent posting helps improve long-term visibility.
  • Efficient management: Build a pipeline so you’re not posting in real time.
  • Better engagement + traffic: Use follow-up comments for links without cluttering captions.

Pro Tips for Better Performance

  • Use follow-up comments: Place external links in a follow-up comment for Reels.
  • Monitor results: Review performance so you can repeat what works.
  • Experiment with timing: Test days/times to match when your audience is active.
