Temporarily stop automation in BizStackPro during holidays, maintenance windows, or sensitive time periods using Global Workflow Settings.
Automation can create problems when messages continue sending during holidays, maintenance periods, business closures, policy updates, or sensitive situations where communication should temporarily pause.
BizStackPro Global Workflow Settings allow businesses to pause published workflows during scheduled date ranges so automation can stop safely without deleting workflow logic.
Without pause controls, businesses may accidentally send communication at inappropriate times, create customer confusion, trigger automation during maintenance work, or disrupt important business operations.
This guide explains how to pause workflows safely, configure pause windows correctly, manage longer pause periods, and maintain cleaner automation timing inside BizStackPro.
Before pausing automation systems, it helps to understand how Global Workflow Settings, published workflows, date ranges, pause scheduling, and workflow timing controls work together inside BizStackPro.
Pausing workflows is a safe way to prevent automation from running during specific time periods—without deleting steps or rebuilding logic later.
Good to know: Workflow pausing is managed in Global Workflow Settings and applies to published workflows (draft workflows are not affected).
Limits & rules: Pause periods can be up to 15 days. For longer pauses, create multiple non-overlapping date ranges. Overlapping pause ranges for the same workflow aren’t allowed.
Tip: If you pause workflows for the same holiday every year, use the Annually option (when available) so you don’t have to recreate the pause window each time.
Best practice: If you have mission-critical workflows, set a quick reminder to confirm the pause window is correct (especially the end date) before saving.
Pause windows help you avoid accidental sends during holidays, downtime, or sensitive periods—without rebuilding workflows later.
