How To Connect Course and Funnel Checkout Using Workflows

Connect your course or membership to a BizStackPro funnel checkout so access is granted automatically and members receive the right login details.

Delivering Course Access Automatically Instead of Manually Managing Every Purchase

Selling courses or memberships can quickly become difficult when customers complete checkout successfully but never receive access, login instructions, or onboarding information.

BizStackPro connects funnel checkouts to memberships and course access using offers, products, payment events, and workflow automation that grant access automatically after payment.

Without properly connected automation, businesses may create delayed onboarding experiences, increase support requests, send incorrect login instructions, or accidentally give members inconsistent access.

This guide explains how to connect course access to funnel checkout flows, configure offers properly, automate access granting, and send onboarding information automatically inside BizStackPro.

Before building checkout-to-course automation, it helps to understand how offers, payment products, workflows, membership access, onboarding emails, and login credential delivery work together inside BizStackPro memberships.

What This Setup Does

  • Connect funnel checkouts to course or membership access
  • Automatically grant offers after payment
  • Send correct login credentials to new members
  • Use different logic for new vs. existing members

Good to know: In most builds, the “bridge” between checkout and course access is an Offer (Memberships) and a trigger (Order Form Submission / Payment event) that grants that offer.

Part 1: Create an Offer and Add the Course

Before connecting your funnel checkout, your course must be linked to an offer.

  1. Go to Memberships → Products → Offers.
  2. Click Create Offer.
  3. Select the published course or product.
  4. Publish the offer.

Important: Courses and offers must be published before they appear in dropdown selections.

Part 2: Choose How Access Is Granted

You can connect access using either a simple product setting or a workflow (best if you want customization).

Option 1: Enable Membership Offer on the Payment Product

  1. Go to Payments → Products.
  2. Click View on the product.
  3. Open Pricing and click the price.
  4. Under Advanced Options, toggle Membership Offer on.
  5. Select the membership offer and save.

Reminder: Re-add the product to the funnel order form after making changes.

Option 2: Use a Workflow

  1. Go to Automation → Workflows and click Create Workflow.
  2. Add an Order Form Submission trigger with the right filters.
  3. Add the Course Grant Offer action and select the offer.
  4. Confirm membership emails are configured under Memberships → Settings → Email.
  5. Save and publish the workflow.

Why this is useful: Workflows let you add custom email logic, tags, and branching—especially helpful for “new vs. existing member” handling.

Sending Membership Login Credentials

If you want full control over the login email (and consistent delivery), use a dedicated workflow that sends your own credentials message.

  1. Add the New Sign Up trigger from the Courses category.
  2. Add a Wait step (about 1–3 minutes) to allow membership data to finalize.
  3. Send an email that includes key dynamic fields, such as:
    • Contact First Name
    • Contact Email
    • Course → New Sign Up → Login URL (magic link)
    • Membership site login URL
  4. Save and publish the workflow.

Pro Tip: Use temporary tags to separate new members from existing members so each group receives the correct email logic.

Smoother onboarding, fewer support tickets

When your checkout, offer access, and login emails are connected properly, members get access instantly—and you spend less time troubleshooting.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I link my course to an offer in memberships?

Publish your course first, then go to Memberships → Products → Offers → Create Offer, select the course, and publish the offer.

What’s the difference between using a workflow and the membership email default option?

The default option is simpler and quicker, while workflows provide advanced customization such as custom emails and logic for new vs. existing members.

How can I make sure new and existing members get the correct emails?

Use temporary tags and separate workflows to differentiate between new and existing members so the correct email logic runs.

What should I do if system-generated emails don’t work correctly?

Disable default system emails and rely on custom workflows to ensure all members receive correct login credentials.

Build reliable checkout-to-course automation

Clean checkout-to-course automation improves the member experience and reduces support requests—especially when you control access rules and login emails.
