Fix outdated or incorrect LinkedIn link previews by forcing LinkedIn to re-scan your URL so the correct title, description, and image appear when you share your link.
When you share a link on LinkedIn, the platform generates a preview using your page’s title, description, and main image. LinkedIn then caches that preview (often for about a week). If you update your page—fix a typo, change Open Graph tags, or swap the featured image—LinkedIn may keep showing the old preview until you refresh the cache.
Best fix: use LinkedIn Post Inspector to force LinkedIn to re-scrape the URL and refresh the preview immediately.
LinkedIn stores link preview details (title, description, image) in a cache to reduce repeated scraping and make previews load faster. If you share the same URL again, LinkedIn may reuse the cached snapshot instead of pulling your latest metadata.
That’s why “edit the page and repost the link” often doesn’t work—until you refresh the cached preview data.

Tip: If you still see the old preview, run Post Inspector again and confirm the updated preview appears there first. If Post Inspector shows the new version but your feed doesn’t, try posting from a new draft post (not an edited older draft).
Example: If you updated a sales page hero image for a new promo, run the page through Post Inspector before posting it on LinkedIn so your share preview matches the new branding.
Once LinkedIn shows the correct preview, make sure the page behind the link is built to convert—capture leads, book calls, or drive sales with BizStackPro funnels and websites.

You may need to refresh the cache if the shared preview shows an outdated or incorrect title, description, or image. LinkedIn caches previews, so changes may not appear until the cache is refreshed.
LinkedIn often caches preview data for around 7 days. Until the cache expires or is refreshed, LinkedIn may keep showing the original preview.
Use LinkedIn Post Inspector. Paste your URL and click Inspect to force LinkedIn to re-scrape and refresh the preview data.
It’s a LinkedIn tool that previews how your URL will display when shared and forces a refresh of cached link preview data.
Run the URL through Post Inspector again and confirm the updated preview appears there. If it does, try sharing the link in a brand-new LinkedIn post. If it still doesn’t update, verify your Open Graph tags and image are configured correctly.
Yes. Post Inspector can refresh the cached preview immediately, so you don’t have to wait for the cache window to end.
LinkedIn caches the page title, description, and image used to generate the link preview.
Refresh LinkedIn previews with Post Inspector, then drive clicks to pages built for conversion—funnels, websites, forms, and automation inside BizStackPro.
Better previews. Better clicks.
