How to Activate the One-Click Purchase in Your Funnel Step

Add one-click upsells and down-sells to your funnel so buyers can accept an additional offer without re-entering payment details.

Increasing Order Value Without Adding Extra Checkout Friction

Customers are more likely to purchase additional products immediately after checkout, but asking them to re-enter payment details can interrupt momentum and reduce conversions.

One-click upsells in BizStackPro allow businesses to present additional offers after the initial purchase using the buyer’s existing payment authorization from the order form step.

Incorrect funnel placement, missing product configuration, or poorly structured upsell flows can create broken purchase paths, lower conversions, or overwhelm buyers with too many offers.

This guide explains how to create one-click upsell and down-sell funnel steps, connect products correctly, configure one-click purchase actions, test the purchase flow, and optimize post-purchase offers inside BizStackPro.

Before configuring one-click purchase actions, it helps to understand how upsell steps fit into the overall funnel sequence after the order form.

Overview

One-time offers (OTOs), upsells, and down-sells can increase average order value by presenting an additional product immediately after the initial purchase. Because the customer has already entered payment details on the order form step, the upsell can be accepted with a single click.

Placement rule: Your upsell/down-sell step must be placed after the order form (often a 2-step order form) so the buyer’s payment method is already available.

Step 1: Create the Upsell Funnel Step

  1. Go to SitesFunnels.
  2. Select the funnel you want to update.
  3. Create (or select) the funnel step that will contain the upsell offer.
  4. Confirm this step is placed after the order form step.
  5. Click Edit Page to open the builder.
  6. Add your upsell content (headline, benefits, offer details, and guarantee).
  7. Add a button for the call-to-action.
  8. Select the button and open the Redirect Options (right-side panel).
  9. Set the action to One Click Up/Down Sell Product.

Tip: Add a secondary “No thanks” option to move buyers forward without purchasing the upsell (depending on your funnel strategy).

Step 2: Connect Your Product

In the one-click action settings, choose the product you want to sell and define where the buyer should go next after accepting the offer.

  1. Select the product you want to offer as the upsell/down-sell.
  2. Choose the Sale Action (what happens after the one-click purchase completes).
  3. Click Save.

Important: The product must already be attached to the funnel step under Products, or it may not appear in the selection list.

Step 3: Test Your Funnel

Test the entire purchase flow before publishing—especially the one-click button behavior.

  1. Open your funnel settings.
  2. Turn off Payment Mode to enter test mode (if available in your setup).
  3. Run a full test purchase through the funnel.
  4. Switch Payment Mode back to live when finished.

Recommended: Run at least one live transaction with a real card to confirm the end-to-end experience. Subscription products may create an authorization hold to validate future payments.

Add an Order Confirmation Step

After your upsell/down-sell steps, add an Order Confirmation funnel step and include the Order Confirmation element so buyers see a full summary of what they purchased and what they were charged.

Pro Tips

  • Keep it relevant: Match the upsell to the original purchase (add-ons convert best).
  • Optimize for mobile: Make the offer easy to read, with clear buttons and short sections.
  • Watch the data: Monitor uptake rate and AOV to refine pricing, copy, and placement.
  • Don’t over-stack offers: Too many steps can reduce total conversion by adding friction.

Increase average order value with one-click upsells

Add a post-purchase offer that buyers can accept instantly—no re-entry of payment details, no extra friction.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I set up multiple upsell offers in the same funnel?

Yes. You can add multiple upsell steps in a funnel. Each upsell can be positioned after different purchase steps depending on your sales strategy.

What is the maximum number of upsell steps allowed?

There is no strict limit, but be mindful of customer experience. Too many upsells can overwhelm buyers and reduce conversions.

Can I offer different product types in an upsell?

Yes. Upsells can include digital products, physical items, subscriptions, and service-based offers.

How can I track upsell performance?

Use funnel analytics to track conversion rate, average order value, and uptake of upsell offers. Monitor results and optimize as needed.

What if my upsell button isn't working?

Ensure the button is set to the One Click Up/Down Sell Product action and that the correct product is selected. Verify the product is attached to the funnel step.

Build smarter funnels with post-purchase offers

One-click upsells and down-sells let buyers add an extra product instantly after checkout—helping you increase revenue without adding friction.
