Facebook Ads Reporting

Connect your Facebook Ad Account, add UTMs the right way, map lead forms, and install tracking so BizStackPro can show accurate ad performance and attribution.

Understanding Which Facebook Ads Are Actually Producing Results

Running Facebook ads without proper tracking can make it difficult to understand which campaigns are generating leads, appointments, or revenue.

Facebook Ads Reporting combines attribution data, UTM tracking, lead form mapping, and event tracking so BizStackPro can connect ad activity to real business outcomes.

Without proper setup, reporting data may appear incomplete, attribution can break, and marketing decisions may rely on inaccurate performance information.

This guide will walk you through how Facebook Ads Reporting works so you can configure tracking correctly and analyze ad performance using more reliable attribution data.

To begin, review the overview and understand how integrations, UTMs, lead mapping, and attribution tracking work together.

Overview

BizStackPro includes a Facebook Ads Reporting tab inside Reporting. Once your Facebook Ad Account is connected and tracking is configured correctly, you can view ad performance and attribution data in one place.

This walkthrough covers: integration + permissions, UTM setup, lead form mapping, pixel/CAPI considerations, and how to run the report reliably.

1) Setup & Diagnostics

  • Confirm the integration: In BizStackPro, go to Settings → Integrations and verify the Facebook Ad Account integration is active.
  • Confirm admin permissions: The connected Facebook Ad Account must grant admin permissions for proper access and reporting.

Important notes:

  • If you send traffic to a landing page, make sure your Meta Pixel and Conversion API are configured where needed (often via workflows/events).
  • Facebook does not add UTMs when viewing ads in preview mode.
  • Avoid emojis/special characters in UTMs and any tracked parameters.

Attribution entry points: First ad attribution is typically recorded for contacts coming from:

  • Form submissions
  • Survey submissions
  • Calendar bookings
  • Direct Facebook Lead Forms
  • Two-step order forms
  • Chat widget leads
  • Inbound click-to-call calls (not leads calling a number pool directly)

2) Add UTMs in the Right Place

In Facebook Ads Manager, add your UTM tracking template inside the Tracking area (URL parameters), not directly in the Destination URL.

  1. Select the campaign/ad you want to update.
  2. Go to Manage ads → Ads → Edit.
  3. Find the Tracking section and open the URL parameters area.

3) Complete URL Parameters (UTM Setup)

Use the recommended template values in the URL parameters section:

  1. Campaign Source: enter fb_ad
  2. Campaign Medium: select
  3. Campaign Name: select
  4. Campaign Content: select
  5. Click Add Parameter
  6. Add parameter name campaign_id with value
  7. Click Apply

Common contact-level fields you may see:

  • Source
  • Campaign Name
  • Adset Name
  • Ad Name
  • Campaign Id
  • fbclid
  • gclid
  • Referrer

4) Facebook Lead Form Mapping

If you use Facebook Lead Ads, mapping is required for accurate reporting and clean lead capture.

  • Confirm the correct Facebook Page is selected in Settings → Integrations.
  • Map fields in Settings → Integrations → Facebook Form Fields.

If leads are missing: double-check UTMs, page connection, and form field mapping first—those are the most common causes.

5) Add Tracking Codes to BizStackPro Sites

To keep tracking consistent across your funnels/websites, add tracking scripts to the right locations:

  • Main tracking code: Go to Sites → Funnels/Websites → (Selected Site) → Settings and add the primary tracking code.
  • Event tracking code: For pages that require specific events (purchases, opt-ins, etc.), add event scripts in the page builder’s head tracking area.

Tracking with Meta Pixel: Add/connect your Pixel ID via Sites → Funnels/Websites → Events and follow the prompts.

6) View Facebook Ads Reporting in BizStackPro

Step 1: Access the Report

  1. Open Reporting from the left-hand menu.
  2. Click Facebook Ads Report at the top.
  3. Select your date period (top right).
  4. If prompted, confirm the date period (checkbox) to run the report.

Step 2: Read the Results

After the report loads, review performance and attribution metrics (availability depends on your setup and entry points).

Single-day report: Set the same date as both the start and end date. Both dates must match for stats to appear.

Pro Tips for Reliable Facebook Ads Reporting

  • Admin access matters: missing permissions can block data.
  • UTMs must be clean: no emojis/special characters; apply them in the Tracking section.
  • Lead forms must be mapped: field mapping issues break attribution and lead capture.
  • Know your entry points: attribution is strongest on supported submissions (forms, surveys, calendars, lead forms, etc.).
  • Track end-to-end: make sure your page tracking and event setup match what you’re trying to measure.

Make every Facebook ad click count

When UTMs, lead mapping, and tracking are set up correctly, your Facebook Ads Report becomes a reliable dashboard for optimizing budgets and campaigns.

Frequently Asked Questions

What permissions do I need for Facebook Ad integration?

You need admin permissions on the connected Facebook Ad Account to ensure proper integration and data access. Verify this in BizStackPro under Settings → Integrations.

How do I set up UTM parameters for Facebook ads?

In Facebook Ads Manager, go to Manage Ads → Ads → Edit, then configure URL parameters with values for Campaign Source, Medium, Name, Content, and an additional parameter for campaign_id.

Why might my Facebook ad reporting data be missing?

Data can be missing if UTMs aren’t set correctly, Facebook form fields aren’t mapped, the wrong Facebook Page is connected, or your attribution entry points aren’t configured as required.

Which entry points support Facebook ad attribution in BizStackPro?

Attribution data is recorded for form submissions, survey submissions, calendar bookings, direct Facebook Lead Forms, two-step order forms, chat widget leads, and click-to-call inbound calls.

Can I run a report for just one day?

Yes. To run a single-day report, select the same date as both the start and end date in the Facebook Ads Report. Both dates must match for stats to appear.

Clean tracking = clean reporting

Use UTMs, lead form mapping, and consistent pixel/event setup to get trustworthy attribution—then scale what’s working with confidence.
